Parking

Beginning at 5pm on Friday, visitors are welcome to park at the New York Power Vista in lots B1, B2 and C and ride a shuttle to downtown Niagara Falls for $5.  The lots can accommodate up to 644 vehicles.  There will be four (4) shuttles which will run every half-hour from the NYPA lots.  Patrons will be dropped off at the corner of Main Street and Rainbow Blvd (454 Main Street).  Starting at 11pm, shuttles will return folks back to the NYPA parking lots through 1am.  The New York Power Authority is located at 5777 Lewiston Road, Lewiston NY 14092.  Parking is also available at Niagara Falls Coach Lines (13th Street and Buffalo Avenue) for a fee of $10.

  • Motorists planning on attending the Nik Wallenda event in Niagara Falls should expect heavy traffic and limited parking in the downtown Niagara Falls area.
  • Arrive at the event as early as possible to avoid peak travel periods.
  • Due to limited parking facilities, motorists may be required to use street parking outside the downtown area.
  • Please watch for traffic control personnel and message signs as you approach the event.
  • Motorists traveling to Canada should expect delays due to increased traffic on June 15. Travelers are encouraged to use the Peace Bridge and Lewiston-Queenston Bridges when traveling across the border. Please allow extra time when crossing the border.
  • Travelers may also avoid border delays by crossing at the NEXUS-only Whirlpool Bridge if everyone in the vehicle possess a NEXUS card. Please note the Whirlpool Bridge will be open June 15, 7am-2am.
  • Motorists can expect congestion on the I-190 between the South Grand Island Bridge Toll Barrier and Exit 23; and on the Robert Moses Parkway from I-190 to downtown Niagara Falls.
  • Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when coming to and leaving the event to avoid major delays.
